April 19 marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising—the largest and most heroic act of Jewish armed resistance during World War II, and the first civilian uprising in occupied Europe. For the past 13 years, POLIN Museum has organized the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Campaign, a global initiative that has engaged thousands of participants—both Jewish and non-Jewish—from Poland and beyond.
We encourage communities around the world to learn about the events that took place on April 19th, 1943, and to share online what the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising means to you. You will find various materials and resources to help spread the campaign, as well as educational items that can be used for schools.
