The idea behind the POLIN Reading Room series is to discuss important, interesting and often controversial books. We raise various topics related to the culture of Polish Jews, and more. Often, the book is merely a starting point for a conversation on broader, universal historical, literary, artistic or scientific topics.

The literary form of the publications we choose is also diverse – from poetry, through reportage, to novels. The meetings are often attended by authors, protagonists of their books, experts, journalists, and publishers. Those who participate in the POLIN Reading Room meetings are often the first ones to learn about new books and are among the first readers of new publications.
Jan Woźniakowski is the PRR project coordinator. Monika Młynarczyk is responsible for communication and promotion of the POLIN Reading Room series.
