Jewish Cultural Heritage 2026–2031
POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is launching the third edition of the Jewish Cultural Heritage project, aimed at preserving and promoting Jewish heritage. The project places strong emphasis on historical and cultural education as tools for combating antisemitism and prejudice, and for building a democratic society based on respect and openness.

In the new edition of the Jewish Cultural Heritage program, we will continue and strengthen our ongoing educational and social initiatives. As part of the project, we will develop innovative educational programs. We also plan to digitize and share resources in order to ensure access to reliable and verified information and historical materials. Additionally, we will support individuals engaged in preserving and promoting Jewish heritage in smaller towns.
Between 2026 and 2031, we will organize more than 9,000 events, educational activities, and community initiatives, aiming to reach over 11.5 million people in Poland and abroad.
9 areas covered by the project
- Education for the future – workshops, classes, and programs (onsite and online) for children, youth, families, and groups at risk of exclusion;
- The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Campaign – a nationwide social and educational campaign aimed at schools, libraries, and the general public;
- Inclusive education – conferences and seminars for teachers, educators, and professionals working with diverse social groups;
- Building relationships and understanding – cultural and public programs for Warsaw residents and audiences across Poland;
- Understanding the past – digitisation and sharing of documentation and collections, in cooperation with the Jewish Historical Institute;
- The Museum locally – support for leaders and institutions in smaller towns, in cooperation with the Forum for Dialogue Foundation;
- Museum for the youth – new educational tools and online activities for teenagers and young adults;
- Development of the Core Exhibition – updates to educational content related to the 100-Year History of Polish Jews exhibition;
- Crossing Borders – workshops and seminars carried out in collaboration with partners from Norway.
Project partners
The project is run by POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. Its Polish partners are the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute and the Forum for Dialogue Foundation.
We also collaborate with Norwegian institutions: the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies (HL-Senteret), the European Wergeland Center, the Falstad Center, as well as the Jewish museums in Oslo and Trondheim.
This cooperation will enable the sharing of experience, exchange of knowledge, and the building of lasting relationships between institutions in Poland and Norway.
In the years 2026-2031, the Jewish Cultural Heritage project is implemented thanks to the funding from the Norway Grants (85%) and the state budget (15%) as part of the “Culture” Program for the years 2021–2028.
