  • Free admission
  • Please note—on 17 May, the Museum closes at 6PM and reopens at 7PM for the Night of Museums

Our slogan this year refers to the Museum’s name and the legendary arrival of Jews in the Polish lands one thousand years ago. While on the run from persecution, Jews heard the birds singing: "Po-lin! Po-lin!" (Hebr.: "here you’ll rest").

The legend served as an inspiration for the Museum and its Core Exhibition, and the Night of Museums at POLIN will provide an excellent opportunity to relax and discover our Museum’s secrets.

We invite you to join us for unique tours of the Core Exhibition with our fantastic guides. Guided tours will be held in Polish, Ukrainian and English. We have also planned a guided tour of the Legacy Gallery with translation into the Polish Sign Language. For teenagers, we have prepared an evening full of creative activities and a night-time tour of the Core Exhibition with flashlights, with challah and cocoa to finish the tour off. A sleepover on the Museum floor with a movie and popcorn is our very special proposal addressed to the youth. The youngest visitors will not be disappointed, either—we will take them on a mysterious tour of the Core Exhibition during which we’ll play a game titled "Mystery Museum." Also, a mini-exhibition, workshops, colorful toys and games will await them at the King Matt’s Family Education Area.

On that magical night, legends come to life not only within the exhibition space, but also in the Museum building’s nooks and corners. It is the only time in the whole calendar year to get acquainted with our Museum through the eyes of its staff. You will have a chance to visit the office area, the conservation studio and the culinary lab, as well as the basement and… the roof!
