"Eminent historian Professor Jakub Goldberg once said, 'There is no history of Jews without the history of Poland, and there is no history of Poland without the history of Jews.' I would add that there is no Polish identity without a Jewish identity, and no Jewish identity without a Polish one.

The history of Polish Jews — its complexity and the value of its culture and civilization — and its tragic and dramatic moments, are fundamental to the memory and identity of that future generations will form. But for that to happen, we need a common Polish and Jewish effort, our common responsibility. Thanks to POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, we have an institution that protects this memory and fosters this identity at the highest global level, and thereby allows us to fulfill our duty. I am full of respect for those who have made the idea of POLIN Museum a reality, the initiators, creators, and distinguished benefactors who put their ideals into practice on a daily basis. I am happy that I can support POLIN Museum in its mission."
