We invite young people aged 18-24. We especially encourage young persons with migration experience. Classes will be conducted in Polish. During meetings, people ready to support you, if necessary, with any potential language difficulties will be present.
The starting point for our talks will be meetings at POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, The Museum of Warsaw, The Praga Museum of Warsaw and the Ukrainian House. Together with the experts from the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, we will visit Park Bródnowski. We will also get acquainted with the activities of the Multicultural Center in Warsaw. Thanks to these meetings, we will build new relations with the city and mutual relations within the group.
Free classes will be held on: 17, 19, 24, 27 and 31 May in museums, the Ukrainian House, and in the city.
For those interested, in July, we also plan a one-day trip to Łódź where—during an interactive workshop—we will reveal some of the city’s multicultural spots. POLIN Museum covers travel costs on the Warsaw-Łódź-Warsaw route.
Due to group work involved, it is designed as a whole cycle, so you will not be able to join selected classes only.

17 May 2023 (Wednesday) at 4PM-7PM – the first meeting of participants, visiting POLIN Museum’s Core Exhibition titled "1000-Year History of Polish Jews" combined with a multicultural workshop
- POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, Multicultural Center in Warsaw
We will start our course by getting acquainted with the Core Exhibition at POLIN Museum. During the tour, we will immerse ourselves in the world of Polish Jews who crossed the borders of various continents. We get acquainted with world-famous figures and, at the same time, learn about local heritage. We will visit pre-war Warsaw, hear the tango and see the prototype of Superman. Or perhaps, during our walk, we will also hear words that we have known since childhood?
After touring the exhibition, we will move to "U Fani" culinary space at POLIN Museum where we will fix sandwiches and have coffee and tea. Employees of the Multicultural Center in Warsaw will invite us to participate in the "Warsaw calling" workshop. During the workshop, we will look at the cultural richness of the people around us, as well as learn more about the cultural differences between us.
19 May 2023 (Friday) at 4PM-6PM – workshop with Marta Romankiv at the "Euroworkshop" temporary exhibition
"Euroworkshop" is a project by Marta Romankiv in which she asks migrants how they see the future of Europe. In the films recorded by the artist, they talk about their own visions of the future and propose the necessary social changes. During workshops run by the artist, everyone will have a chance to share their vision of the future. We will consider what we would like to convey and how to speak so that our voice is heard. We will practice public speaking and create our own manifestos.
Note: those willing will be able to take part in the recordings at a later date and thus become part of the "Euroworkshop" project.
24 May 2023 (Wednesday) at 4PM-6PM – walk with Aleksandra Karkowska-Rogińska "Jewish Praga - in the footsteps of former inhabitants and places"
Praga has always been one of the most multicultural parts of Warsaw. Religious denominations, political views and world views were combined here. We invite you for a walk around the former Jewish Praga. It will be an opportunity to see the old prayer houses at 50/52 Targowa Street, to immerse ourselves in the history of streets such as Targowa, Ząbkowska, Szeroka... We will enter the world of backyards, visit places where, e.g., there was once a synagogue in Praga, a mikveh, a Jewish Academic House, and we will learn the history of people from a world that no longer exists.
27 May 2023 (Saturday) at 3PM-7PM – meeting at the Sculpture Park in Bródno
- Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw
The Bródno Sculpture Park is a unique place. The park functions as an evolving exhibition of contemporary art, presented in the open air. The works displayed in the park are part of the ever-growing MSN collection. During the walk, we will get to know sculptural works, from traditional objects to installations and conceptual sculptures. In the workshop part, we will try to design a sculptural installation together. We will end the meeting with a picnic and outdoor socializing.
31 May 2023 (Wednesday) at 4PM-6PM – the evening of board games
During the last meeting, the Ukrainian House team will invite us to explore diversity through quizzes and games. Experienced players as well as novices will be able to enjoy board games under the supervision of Alina Serhiienko, an expert on integration meetings.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to sum up the course and discuss a one-day trip to Łódź in July this year. We will also consider projects that we can implement jointly or individually in the future.
The course is organized by POLIN Museum in cooperation with the Museum of Warsaw, the Praga Museum of Warsaw, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Ukrainian House and the Multicultural Center in Warsaw.
All applications will be answered by e-mail no later than 12 May. If you have any questions about the course, please contact Mariia Bilostotska ([email protected]).
