Meeting of partners involved in the "Jewish Cultural Heritage" project

From 1 to 3 June 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting our partners in the international "Jewish Cultural Heritage" project at POLIN Museum. Representatives of institutions from Poland and Norway met in Warsaw, including the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute, the Forum for Dialogue Foundation, the Norwegian Center for Holocaust and Minority Studies (HL-Senteret), the European Wergeland Centre, the Falstad Centre, and the Jewish museums in Oslo and Trondheim.

It was the first opportunity for the project teams to meet in person. We discussed our shared goals, plans for the coming years, projects already underway as well as those we are about to begin.

Guests visited the Muranów district, POLIN Museum, and the Jewish Historical Institute. Working in smaller groups focused on specific areas of cooperation was an important part of the meeting. Discussions covered, among other topics, research on museum exhibitions, development programs for museum professionals from Poland, Norway, and Ukraine, teacher exchanges, and educational collaboration with Jewish museums across Europe. A separate session focused on the development of oral history collections.

For us, the annual partners’ meeting was not only an opportunity to plan activities for the coming years, but also an important experience of collaboration and exchange. It demonstrated how history and cultural heritage can serve as a platform for international dialogue, education, and thoughtful engagement with contemporary challenges.

The "Jewish Cultural Heritage" project is implemented within the framework of the Culture Program, administered by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and financed through the Norway Grants and the state budget.
