TISH Festival: Recipe for Everything – a meeting with the Jewish Food Society

fot. Muzeum Historii Żydów Polskich

What do pancakes from Kiev, curry from Mumbai and pickles from Wyszków have in common? Firstly, they are regularly prepared by Jews in all corners of the globe. Secondly, these recipes and hundreds of other Jewish dishes are available anytime thanks to the Jewish Food Society.

This unique society based in New York City was established with the goal of collecting Jewish recipes, promoting Jewish food and preserving Jewish culinary tradition for future generations. We invite you to the lecture by Na’ama Shefi, the founder and prime mover behind the Jewish Food Society; she will speak about this fascinating project, share one recipe from her rich collection and reveal to us why she chose this particular dish from among hundreds of others.

Online premiere of the recorded event, held in English with Polish subtitles.
