Neighbourly Flowerbed – rainbow gardening workshop with Łukasz Skop

Fancy turning into an urban gardener? "POLIN on the Meadow" invites residents of Warsaw, and residents of Muranów in particular, to plant flowers and herbs together on the Meadow—a green square in front of POLIN Museum. Łukasz Skop will be our guide to urban gardening.
- 25 June (Saturday), 10 AM-3 PM
- Free admission, free tickets >>
- Venue: "POLIN on the Meadow" (green square in front of POLIN Museum, from the side of Lewartowskiego Street)
June is LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Bring your rainbow accents (gadgets, pieces of clothing) and let's plant a colorful flowerbed together.
This year, the flower bed and the boxes and pots in the meadow next to POLIN Museum will bloom in rainbow-coloured flowers. We want the colourful flowers to serve as a symbol of solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community. By offering someone flowers, you can express and communicate your emotions, and by combining all the colours of the rainbow in one place we will join in the Pride Month celebrations in June.
But that's not all! Through gardening, we can renew and strengthen our connection with nature, significantly undermined during the pandemic. We can listen to nature’s needs and learn to respond to them. Every flower and every colour has something different to offer – a wealth of scents, textures, and even tastes in the case of edible flowers and herbs which will also be present in our gardening endeavours.
We invite guests and visitors from Ukraine. A Ukrainian translator will be present during the classes.
