Activities for families during winter holidays

Playing a game in the Core Exhibition: "The Mysterious Museum"

  • For families with children aged 5–10
  • Dates: January 19 – March 1, 2026 (during the winter holidays)
  • Availability: free of charge with an exhibition ticket*
  • Languages: Polish, Ukrainian, English, Belarusian
  • Prizes: available for collection at the Museum ticket desk after completing the game

We have prepared a special offer for families planning to visit our Museum with children during the upcoming winter holidays. From January 19 to March 1, 2026, family game cards for the Core Exhibition will be available free of charge at the museum ticket desks.

"The Mysterious Museum" is designed for families with children aged 5–10. During the game, participants explore selected galleries* of the Core Exhibition while searching for answers to riddles. The game highlights the most engaging parts of the exhibition and introduces visitors to many fascinating facts about Jewish culture. Prizes await all participants!

*The game includes selected galleries, from the Middle Ages to the interwar period.

Game in the Temporary Exhibition: "An Alphabet Whirl"

  • For families with children aged 5–10
  • Dates: January 19 – March 1, 2026 (during the winter holidays)
  • Availability: free of chargé with an exhibition ticket*
  • Languages: Polish, Ukrainian, English, Belarusian
  • Prizes: available for collection at the museum ticket desk after completing the game

Families who are visiting the Museum again and are already familiar with the Core Exhibition are invited to discover the temporary exhibition titled "The Power of Words. On Jewish Languages." For this occasion, we have prepared a special game titled "An Alphabet Whirl."

Game cards and backpacks can be collected at the ticket desk. Inside the backpacks, you will find various objects that enrich the exhibition experience. Through the game, participants will uncover the secrets of the Hebrew alphabet, track mysterious creatures hidden in the pages of old books, and even learn where the word "git" comes from. At the end of the game, small gifts can be collected at the ticket desk.

Touring the Core Exhibition with a Family Audio Guide

  • For families with children aged 6–12
  • Dates: January 19 – March 1, 2026 (during the winter holidays)
  • Availability: free of charge with an exhibition ticket*
  • Languages: Polish, Ukrainian, English

We invite families to explore the Core Exhibition using a special audio guide created specifically for families with children. The participants are guided by the voice of a famous Polish actor Wojciech Malajkat. Small audio devices and headphones can be borrowed at the ticket desk.

Throughout the exhibition, numerous tasks and surprises await. Visitors will hear stories from royal chambers and craft workshops, as well as conversations taking place in the streets of historic cities and towns. The audio guide tells stories about cooperation, friendship, family life, Jewish holidays, and traditions. The tour includes galleries with content suitable for younger audiences.

*A 1 PLN ticket is available for children and students aged 7–26 who hold valid ID from Polish schools or universities. Children under 7 enter the exhibition free of charge.
