We encourage you to purchase our latest publication titled "What the Others Cannot See. Photographic Testimonies from Both Sides of the Warsaw Ghetto Wall 1943." It combines two albums—one with photos taken by Rudolf Damec, the other with photos by Leszek Zbigniew Grzywaczewski.
- It is available for purchase at the Museum store and online
- Price: 134 PLN
The two albums are sold in one box. They present unique photographic film with photos—so far mostly unpublished—of the Uprising at the Warsaw ghetto. Zbigniew Leszek Grzywaczewski’s album contains unique photos taken inside the Warsaw ghetto during the Uprising where the photographer worked as a firefighter. A text recalling the figure of Maciej Grzywaczewski’s father and a commentary on the photos penned by Prof. Jacek Leociak complement the photographs. Rudolf Damec’s album presents photos taken along the Warsaw ghetto wall on the ‘Aryan’ side during the Uprising. The photos are complemented by a commemorative text penned by the photographer’s granddaughter Aleksandra Sobiecka, and an article by Prof. Barbara Engelking.
The album accompanies the exhibition "Around Us a Sea of Fire. The Fate of Civilians During the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising."
