Posting on the POLIN Museum’s social media profiles—rules and regulations

Social media profiles of POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) are a space where we share knowledge about the history, culture, and heritage of Polish Jews. We provide information about exhibitions, educational and cultural events; we publish multimedia materials, commemorate important anniversaries, and encourage reflection on our shared history.

We envision our profiles as a space that is open to dialogue, to an exchange of ideas and experiences. We want it to be a welcoming space that fosters cultured and reasoned discussion based on mutual respect.

Therefore, we kindly ask you to follow the rules below and to refrain from publishing the following:

  1. discriminatory content based on origin, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or others;
  2. content that spreads historical falsehoods, particularly concerning the history of Polish Jews, the Holocaust, and Polish-Jewish relations;
  3. content that may incite violence, aggression, or other harmful behavior;
  4. vulgarities, offensive language, hate speech;
  5. content that violates the rules of the social media platforms on which it is published;
  6. content that violates applicable laws, including, among others, the Act of February 4, 1994 on Copyright and Related Rights (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 24);
  7. content that may infringe on the rights of others;
  8. content that may disclose personal data of third parties;
  9. content of promotional nature or one that amounts to spam;
  10. content that is contrary to the principles of civilized discussion and to POLIN Museum’s mission.

The administrators of the POLIN Museum profiles reserve the right to remove posts that do not comply with the above rules. In the event of repeated violations, access to the profiles may be restricted.
