Distinguished Lectures Series goes online

The "Distinguished Lecture" series, part of the GEOP program, was launched in 2015. For the past five years, outstanding scholars in the field of Polish-Jewish history and culture from all across the world delivered their lectures at POLIN Museum. During the pandemic, we have changed the formula of the lecture series to online events.
We do look forward to welcoming you at POLIN Museum again in the near future, and to invite our distinguished guests to deliver their lectures at the Museum’s auditorium filled with audience. For the time being, however, we encourage you to meet the scholars in the safety of your own home.
We are launching the online series with a lecture by Professor Shalom Sabar who will talk about Jewish nuptial rituals in the fascinating context of different countries. Professor Barbara Kirshenblatt-Gimblett will moderate the lecture.
The Lectures Series is organized within the Global Education Outreach Program
This program was made possible thanks to Taube Philanthropies, the William K. Bowes, Jr. Foundation, and the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland
