The book titled "A Thousand-year History of Polish Jews. A Journey Throughout the Ages" is an original tale of the history of Polish Jews. The ten centuries of Jewish existence in Poland have been subdivided into different periods and then presented in eight chapters.

The narrative is supplemented by illustrations, maps, diagrams, statistical data, bibliographies and indices. The original content of the book is made complete through the inclusion of various period documents.

The chronology and manner in which the stories are told do not always directly correspond to the order of the POLIN Museum core exhibition; this, however, is wholly intentional, since the core exhibition also has its own, comprehensive catalogue which mirrors its structure.

The book is intended for a broad audience, including, in particular, the students of Polish lower-secondary and upper-secondary schools and their teachers who are willing to expand their curriculum through the inclusion of Jewish themes.

It should be mentioned that this book would never have come into being had it not been for the support and benevolence of many employees of POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews as well as researchers from both Poland and other countries.
