TISZ Jewish Food Festival will take place on 26-30 September.

9 AM - 3 PM - TISH Jewish Food Festival at Forteca Kręglickich

6 PM - Official opening of the TISH Jewish Food Festival: Roots and rootlets. Culinary debate on kosher and plant-based food, accompanied by treats and snacks, and the Comedy Club performance
POLIN Museum auditorium, free admission, with simultaneous translation into the Polish Sign Language

6 PM - Bagels and rugelakh – culinary workshop with Laurel Kratochvila, in English. We will produce Jewish baked goods: New York bagels and Jerusalem rolls with sweet filling.

6 PM - Family stories revolving around food.Learning how to cook, sharing family recipes, meeting and chatting
JCC (Jewish Community Center) Warsaw, 9a Chmielna St., free admissiom
 
7 PM - Secret tasting. Bartek Kieżun, a Pasta-Maker from Krakow, and Monika Bielka-Vescovi invite you to a Galician dinner of Ashkenazi Jews which will take place at a surprising location.
The participants will be informed on the location 3 hours prior to the event

5.30 PM - Collective cooking at the Center for Yiddish Culture. Vegetarian Jewish cuisine workshop with Michał Lachur, chef of the Organic Corner.

7 PM - Tribute to Fania Lewando: a vegetarian Shabbat supper. 5 dishes and 5 chefs: Aleksander Baron, Alessia Di Donato, Sabina Francuz, Malka Kafka and Laurel Kratochvila, whose dishes will be inspired by the recipes of Fania Lewando, a prewar restaurant owner and promoter of healthy food. This unique journey across the sea of Ashkenazic flavours will be intervowen by stories on the Polish-Jewish cuisine and culture.

10 AM - 2 PM - Ha’Carmel Sukkot Brunch Let’s visit the shuk Ha’Carmel in Tel Aviv! Girls from NotSoKosher and Malka Kafka with her team from the Tel Aviv restaurant on Poznańska Street will serve a special brunch.

11 AM - 2 PM - Secrets of the Jewish cuisine. Culinary workshop for children. Charlotte Menorah is the event partner.

12 noon - From gefilte fish to small coffee-no milk at Ziemiańska Cafe, or food in the POLIN Museum core exhibition – a tour of the core exhibition.

2.30 - 5.00 - Here you can buy and eat anything you wish! – Jewish stores and restaurants in prewar Warsaw. – a city tour.
The participants will be informed on the meeting point upon purchase of tickets.

12 noon - 3 PM - From Abraham to Instagram – culinary workshop, during which you will discover a number of tricks on food presentation; workshop run by NotSoKosher.

1 PM - Through bagels – a walk through the flavours of contemporary Jewish Warsaw a city tour combined with tasting dishes at several different venues.
The participants will be informed on the meeting point upon purchase of tickets.
 
7 PM - Films for Food: Searching for Israeli cuisine, dir. Roger M. Sherman, USA, 2016, 96’. The screening will be followed by a discussion on Jewish food titled Jewish food—what does that mean?
