Objects in the hands of experts

After two months of conservation works, objects to be shown in the “Biographies of Things. Gifts in the Collection of the History of Polish Jews” exhibition have returned to the Museum.

66 objects (including manuscripts, prints, photographs, synagogue items and personal mementos) have been carefully secured against destruction. Conservation work on the objects required special preservative measures to protect traces of the objects’ individual histories whilst giving viewers and scholars access to information previously obscured by damage and surface impurities.

The special exhibition "Biographies of Things. Gifts in the Collection of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews" will be presented from October 18, 2013, until February 17, 2014, during the Museum’s opening hours.
