Farewell to Susan Sills, a devoted POLIN Museum donor

It is with great sadness that we mark the passing of Susan Sills, a devoted POLIN Museum donor. She was a prolific artist, with works in museum collections in the United States and Japan.

The Sills Family Foundation has supported many POLIN Museum projects, along them temporary exhibitions such as "Gdynia – Tel-Aviv" and "Estranged. March '68 and Its Aftermath," as well as a program to fight antisemitism.

Despite the distance between Warsaw, and New York, we could feel Susan’s warmth and support. We fondly recall the dinner with Marian Turski at the beautiful Sills home, and whenever we met, whether in Warsaw or New York, we experienced Susan’s extraordinary kindness. She was a true friend of POLIN Museum.

On behalf of POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews and the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland, we extend our condolences to the Sills family.
