FOLLOW THE STORY LINE – Comics art in the POLIN collection
image
Aside from items documenting Jewish life, the Museum collects works of contemporary artists who address the issues of the heritage of Polish Jews, Polish-Jewish history and memory.
Pages from comic books, a collection of which is presented at the exhibition, have a special place in our collection. Modern comics often readily embrace the themes relating to history or Polish-Jewish relations in the past and in the present and provide commentary on current public debates.
On the exhibition there are presented signed comics panels and strips by such authors as Rutu Modan, Martin Lemelman, Jacek Michalski, Krzysztof Gawronkiewicz, and Marek Raczkowski.
From 21 October to 12 December, 10 AM to 6 PM (Monday, Thursday, Friday) anf from 10 AM to 8 PM (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday), free admission
