During the walking tour, we will look for places in Warsaw which are featured in the POLIN Museum core exhibition. We will find out which places were filled with murmurs of prayer and where it was more likely to hear popular songs of the period; what types of people we would meet in the streets of Warsaw at the time; which language would we hear: Hebrew, Yiddish, or maybe Polish? The walk will be hosted by Katarzyna Jakubowicz, a guide and educator at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

The walk will be led in Polish.

In order to take part in the walking tour, you need to register at www.bilety.polin.pl.

Date: September 4th (Sunday)

Time: 12.00

Duration: about 2 hours

The walk is one of the events of the 13th edition of the “Singer’s Warsaw” Jewish Culture Festival, organised by the Shalom Foundation.

The event is a part of the programme of the European Day of Jewish Culture.
