On February 10, 2014, at 6.00 PM we invite you to attend the next meeting in the Lectures on the Core Exhibition series.

Ewa Małkowska-Bieniek will deliver a lecture entitled A Unicorn in the Town. The 17th and 18th Century Gallery.

Why did Polish nobles settle Jews on their land? Was the Messiah born in the 17th century? Did Jews create their own art in early modern Poland? Ewa Małkowska-Bieniek, art historian and curator of the Into the Country gallery will talk about the Core Exhibition’s portrayal of Jewish life during the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, from the Khmelnytsky uprising until the partitions of Poland.
