Lectures on the Core Exhibition

On February 10, 2014, at 6.00 PM we invite you to attend the next meeting in the Lectures on the Core Exhibition series.
Ewa Małkowska-Bieniek will deliver a lecture entitled A Unicorn in the Town. The 17th and 18th Century Gallery.
Why did Polish nobles settle Jews on their land? Was the Messiah born in the 17th century? Did Jews create their own art in early modern Poland? Ewa Małkowska-Bieniek, art historian and curator of the Into the Country gallery will talk about the Core Exhibition’s portrayal of Jewish life during the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, from the Khmelnytsky uprising until the partitions of Poland.

The cycle of lectures on the Core Exhibition allows visitors to get to know about its contents and its backstage before the grand opening in 2014. Each month the experts and the curators tell about challenges which they faced during their work on the galleries of the Core Exhibition.
