Museum Discovery – walking museum tours for representatives of ethnic minorities and foreigners in 11 languages.

Date: February 1, 2014, 10:00 am – 4 pm

The Museum of the History of Polish Jews has the pleasure of inviting representatives of ethnic minorities and foreigners to take part in walking tours of the Museum conducted in 11 languages: English, Arabic, French, Georgian, German, Hebrew, Spanish, Romany, Russian, Ukrainian and Vietnamese.

Visitors will have an opportunity to discover the unique architecture of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, learn about its history and the place in which it is situated. The legend surrounding the name Polin visible on the façade glass panels will be told and the various interpretations of the symbolic nature of the Museum’s building designed by Rainer Mahlämaki will be explored. All visitors will be invited to see the temporary exhibition Biographies of Things. Donations in the Collection of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. The exhibition displays remarkable objects donated to the Museum and presents the biographies of the incredible people who have made the donations and invested their emotions and stories in a new institution. Moreover, the main exhibition to be opened in October 2014 will be highlighted.
