International Children’s Day: The Power of Words

International Children’s Day – an extraordinary power is hidden behind these words! Join us on a journey to the Land of Stories. Alas, a bit of chaos prevails—words and letters have been scattered across our meadow. With your superpowers, you’ll help us find them, bring them back to life, and deliver them to the Guardian of Stories.

During the outdoor game, you will discover fascinating letters and alphabets, make puppets, build castles from giant blocks, bring characters to life, and decode letter-based secret messages while completing an obstacle course. You will spin your own tales and win prizes.

But the outdoor game is by no means all we have prepared for you! More attractions await you – including the "Alphabet Whirl" game in the temporary exhibition space. This is your last chance to explore the exhibition with a backpack full of tools and uncover the secrets of letters. Come join us – it’s going to be great fun!

An extraordinary adventure awaits you in the Land of Stories! There’s been a bit of chaos—stories have broken into tiny fragments, words, and letters, which are now hidden in the meadow next to POLIN Museum. We need your help in putting everything back together and restoring the power of words!

First, we will try to catch the letters and turn some of them into animal puppets. Through a language cricket game, we’ll remind them which alphabets they come from. To make them feel at home, we’ll build them a Story House inside a special box. We will bring story characters to life using a zoetrope and create a scenography for tales from giant building blocks. By completing obstacle courses, we will decipher coded letters and read secret messages. At the end, we’ll create our own stories using stickers collected during the game and present them to the Guardian of Stories.

Surprises await everyone who completes the challenge!

You can join the game anytime between 11AM and 2PM and complete the activities at your own pace before 3PM. During the picnic, there will be a Relaxation Zone with deck chairs and a food area (payable) hosted by our vendors. Families with the youngest children are invited to the Toddler Zone, where sensory activities and games will take place.
