On 9 December 2013, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews received a € 3.2 million grant from the Kingdom of Norway through the Norway Grants.

The Norway Grants support Jewish Cultural Heritage, an outreach, educational and cultural program promoting tolerance, drawing on the thousand-year historical experience of Polish Jews and teaching young people how to live in today’s multicultural society in which different groups, customs, practices and religions function side by side.

The program is dedicated to school children and youth from Poland and around the world, their teachers and educators, and persons with limited access to culture.

“This is a museum of global importance,” said Karsten Klepsvik, Ambassador of Norway to Poland. “The project shows a clear commitment from the Government of Poland to link the grand narratives of the past with the challenges of today and the future – in Poland and beyond.”
